Zenit vs Club Brugge

- This is the first European encounter between Zenit and Club Brugge since 1987/88 UEFA Cup. Both the teams won their game at home with Club Brugge winning 5-2 on aggregate.

- Lazio and Dortmund have met only twice previously with Dortmund eliminating Lazio in the quarter-final of 1994/95 season.
- Borussia Dortmund lost each of their last three away games in this competition in Italy. Their last win was against AC Milan in 2003.
- Lazio is making their first appearance in the UEFA Champions League since 2007/08 season when they were eliminated at the group stage.

- This will be the first-ever European encounter between Chelsea and Sevilla.
- Chelsea has won just one of their last nine Champions League matches against Spanish opponents, with a win at Atletico Madrid in 2017.
- Chelsea has lost its two games but the Blues have never lost three games consecutively in major European competitions.
- Sevilla has won just one of their seven away major European matches.
Barcelona vs Ferencvaros
- This will be the first-ever European encounter between these two teams.
- Barcelona has won all four of their previous European matches against Hungarian opponents.
- Ferencvaros faced Spanish opponents last season in the Europa League, drawing both the group stage matches against Espanyol.
- Barcelona is unbeaten in their last 31 home UEFA Champions League group stage matches whereas Ferencvaros haven't featured in this competition since 1995/96 season.
